These Terms & Conditions govern all tutoring services provided by Covenant Tutors. By enrolling a learner or making use of our services, parents/guardians and learners agree to the terms outlined below.
Covenant Tutors provides structured academic support services to learners in Grades 7–12, aligned to the CAPS curriculum and delivered in accordance with clearly defined academic standards and routines.
Our services include: - One-on-One Tutoring (In-person) - Online & Virtual Tutoring (Nationwide – South Africa) - Exam Preparation Programmes (Short-term, targeted) - Matric Support & Matric Re-write Programmes - Afterschool Pick-ups (Johannesburg South only)
All tutoring sessions follow a structured format (concept explanation, guided practice, and learner application) and are subject to tutor availability and confirmed scheduling.
Services explicitly exclude life coaching, counselling services, religious instruction, unstructured academic support, or any service not formally agreed to in writing.
In-person tutoring & afterschool pick-ups: Johannesburg South
Online/Virtual tutoring: Available across South Africa
All learners must be formally registered before services commence.
Accurate learner and parent/guardian information must be provided.
Covenant Tutors reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if information provided is false or incomplete.
All fees are communicated upon registration and form part of a formal service agreement.
Payment is required in advance (monthly, weekly, or per programme/package as agreed).
Covenant Tutors operates on a no-pay, no-session policy.
Fees are non-refundable once a session or programme has commenced.
Exam Preparation and Matric Support programmes are premium, outcome-focused offerings and may be priced differently from standard tutoring services.
Covenant Tutors reserves the right to review pricing annually or as operationally required, with reasonable notice provided.
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for session cancellations or rescheduling.
Late cancellations or failure to attend a scheduled session will be charged in full.
Repeated cancellations or poor attendance may result in suspension or termination of services.
Covenant Tutors reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to tutor illness, operational requirements, or unforeseen circumstances.
Pick-ups are arranged by prior agreement only.
Parents/guardians must ensure learners are ready at the agreed pick-up time.
Covenant Tutors is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Learner safety is prioritized at all times; however, Covenant Tutors is not liable for incidents occurring outside agreed pick-up and drop-off times.
Learners must have access to a stable internet connection and suitable device.
Covenant Tutors is not responsible for disruptions caused by connectivity issues.
Sessions interrupted due to learner-side technical problems may be forfeited.
Exam Preparation and Matric Support programmes are structured, intensive interventions designed to support academic improvement.
While Covenant Tutors tracks learner progress and applies evidence-based teaching strategies, academic results cannot be guaranteed.
Learner success is dependent on attendance, participation, effort, and independent study.
Covenant Tutors is not responsible for final school, NSC, or external examination results.
Tutors maintain professional, ethical, and respectful conduct at all times.
Learners are expected to adhere to agreed behavioural standards, routines, and instructions.
Covenant Tutors prioritises structure, discipline, and consistency as core principles.
Repeated misconduct, refusal to engage academically, or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate termination of services without refund.
All learner information is treated as confidential.
Information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where legally required.
Covenant Tutors shall not be held liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
Liability is strictly limited to the value of services paid for during the affected period.
Covenant Tutors does not assume responsibility for academic decisions made by learners or parents based on tutoring outcomes.
Either party may terminate services with written notice.
Outstanding fees remain payable upon termination.
Covenant Tutors reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
